Based off of Nebula Night's poem style thing

This is my favorite poem for some reason.

Like one that on a lonesome road doth walk in fear and dread,
And having once turned around walks on,
And turns no more his head.
Because he knows a frightful friend doth close behind him treads.

Sink or Swim

I'm sorry I can't be that perfect girl, whoever she may be

I'm sorry I can't control this hurricane inside of me

I'm sorry I'm just your problem, but I don't know what to do

But if you can't adjust the wind, adjust the sails, so you should deal with you

I'm stuck in this ocean

Swirling with emotions

A torn up boat, a raging storm, and these waves of life going up and down

And I don't know

If I'll sink or swim

I'm

Swimming

Swimming

Sinking

Drowning

Please

Don't

Let

Me

Drown.

Just a little lyric poem I made up. It's kind of personal and emotional, so I won't go too much into detail. But... Eh. Maybe some of you are good at reading in between the lines, I use metaphors a lot. Should I put up more poetry?

A simple answer to some questions.

Moon Over Manifest is an overall brilliant book. It's a historical fiction book that takes place in both 1936 and 1918.

There, Alibene makes new friends, Lettie and Ruthanne, both cousins. While on her adventures she meets a Hungarian woman named Miss Sadie, who is a diviner. Miss Sadie tells her enchanting stories of the past, about a boy named Jinx and another boy named Ned, best friends till the end. But where is her daddy in this town? Where is the mark he left? She wonders that all the while. Will she ever find out all the mysteries hidden in the immigrants town of Manifest, 1918?
